Drawing on more than 30 years of relevant experience, James Castille is a Certified Public Accountant who serves as owner of Lafayette, Louisiana-based LUMA Capital, through which he specializes in business and financial consulting and acts as a turnaround specialist for companies in the construction, oil and gas, transportation, & fabrication sectors, among others. Adept in domestic and international accounting, James Castille works with several companies outside Louisiana. He also serves as chief financial officer (CFO) of the Summit, Mississippi-based Empire Group, which controls six privately held corporations.
Since taking on the firm's CFO role in 2016, Mr. Castille has helped increase profits and EBITDA by 200 percent, secured multiple lines of credit in excess of $25 million, and implemented new procedures to improve internal controls over accounting functions. He also previously served two years as CFO of Dynamic International, where he oversaw contract negotiations and accounting operations for a $700 million construction project in Angola, Africa. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, and is an alumnus of Cathedral Carmel High School.
